Asan Memorial College of Engineering & Technology is the youngest member of the Asan Memorial group of educational institutions. These institutions are governed by the Asan Memorial Association, Chennai which was established in 1965 as a tribute to the memory of Mahakavi Kumaran Asan, the late poet laureate of Kerala. Then founding members of the Association consisted of eminent Malayalees, settled in Chennai, from different walks of life such as industrialists, educationists, film personalities and social workers who were devoted and highly dedicated to the noble cause of education. The Founder Secretary of the Association, Shri A. K. Gopalan continues to be guiding star and moving spirit behind the Asan Memorial Educational Institutions.

This is the first Institute of Hotel Management in the private sector, established in 1986 in the Jaladampet campus. The Institute offers a three year Diploma Programme in Hotel Management and Catering Technology, approved by AICTE and affiliated to Directorate of Technical Education, Tamil Nadu. In addition, it conducts several craft courses in specialished areas of Hotel Management.

Established in 1994, the College is today recognised as a reputed co-educational institution under Madras University. It offers under graduate and post graduate courses in various arts and science subjects.

The UG courses offered are B.Sc. in Computer Science, Micro-biology, Bio-Chemistry, Hotel Management, B.Com and BBA.

Post Graduate courses in Micro-biology, Bio-Chemistry and Hotel Management are conducted.

Established in 1997, it has emerged as a premier institute of Management and Information Technology. The Institute offers full-time MBA and MCA programmes approved by AICTE and affiliated to the University of Madras. From the current academic year, the Institute will offer a new two year full-time course - M.Sc. Information Technology.

It is the first institution under the Asan Memorial banner established in 1966, located in the heart of the city. It conducts classes from LKG to XII Standard under CBSE pattern. The school is known for quality education and high profile student activities.
