The following were the activities organized by the Placement & Training Cell for the students: |
- On 4th of September 2005, a seminar on “ Placement &Training programme “ delivered by Mr. Sankarasubramaniyam, Resource manager from R.TECH, Chennai was organized for Final year students of CSE & IT. This Seminar was really an Informative programme for the Final year students.
- On 11th of September 2005, We have organized a seminar on “ Latest Trends in the JOB Market “ delivered by Mr. K.Johnson, Executive – business developments from ACCEL- IT ACADEMY, Chennai for Third & Final Year Students of CSE & IT. He gave several suggestions & guidelines to the Students.
- On 3rd of October 2005, a seminar on “ Smart Power Placement Training Programme “ delivered by Mr. R.V.RAM, Director from SMART Training Resources, Chennai was organized for Third & Final Year Students of CSE & IT. He gave a brief explanation about the Placement trainings was really very informative to the students.
- On 8th of February 2006, a seminar on “ Soft Skills & Developments “ delivered by Mr. Ramachandran, Counselor, Facilitator from PEEPULNEST , Chennai was organized for Third & Final Year Students of CSE & IT. This Seminar really was an Informative programme for the Third year & Final year students.
- On behalf of our College Mr. P.B.Edwin Prabhakar, Placement Officer attended, The “ Placement Officer’s Meet “ held at Erode Sengunthar College of Engineering & Technology on 28th of January 2006 .In that meet several Placement Officers from various Engineering Colleges & Various HR’s from well reputed organization came there and participated in that meet. They declared the “ JOB MELA “which was planned to be conducted on 18th & 19th of February,2006 .The rules & regulations for the students to participate in that JOB MELA were finalized.
- On behalf of the Placement & Training Cell of AMCET , fina YEARS FROM ALL BRANCH OF OUR College went to “ JOB MELA 2006 “ held at Erode Sengunthar Engineering College accompanied by Mr. P.B.Edwin Prabhakar ( Placement Officer) & Mr. S. Gopinathan ( Lect EEE Dept ) on 18th & 19th of February 2006. Several participants from all over Engineering College came there and participated in that JOB MELA 2006. In that JOB MELA 2006, three of them from our college ( Mr. Nirmal Kumar – Final ECE , Ms. Indhira priyadharshini – Final EEE & Mr. Sayooj Valsan – Final ECE Dept ) were selected for the Final Interview from aptitude & GD conducted by CHIP DESIGN , Chennai.
- Ms. Indhira Priyadharshini from Final year EEE Dept ( 2002-2006 batch ) attended an Interview organized by the Anna University on 11th of March 2006 got selected & placed in CARITOR India . pvt. Ltd from 4000 Competitors.
- On 15th of March 2006 , a Workshop on “ Soft Skill & Developments “ training conducted by Triumphant Institute of management for Education ( T.I.M.E.), Chennai was organized for Third & Final year students of CSE, It, ECE & EEE Dept. They demonstrated a model Mock Interviews and GD’s. This Workshop really was an Informative and a useful programme for the Third year & Final year Student’s.
- On 7th of April 2006, all the students from Second Year , Third year Final Year CSE & Final Year IT went on a visit to “ PENTASOFT Technologies “, Bangalore. The Pentasoft Technologies is a Software company dealing in the field of Multimedia as well as Commercial Projects on Multimedia. During that visit they had arranged a wonderful & Informative Seminar on AS 400 & Multimedia. They gave several suggestions & Guidelines to the students about Multimedia. They had an Interactive session. They gave a brief explaination about their Projects on Multimedia. They also provided a Participated certificate on their PENTASOFT letterhead.
- Mr.Sayooj Valsan from Final year ECE Dept ( 2002 – 2006 batch ) attended an Interview on 4th July 2006 got selected & placed in “ INFOSYS “ as a Software Engineer.
- Mr. D. Vignesh from Final year IT Dept ( 2002-2006 batch )attended an Interview on 6th July 2006 got placed in “ MICRON TECHNOLOGIES ., Coimbatore “ ( R & D division )
- Off Campus Interview for “ INFOSYS “ , Chennai on 16th of July 2006 scheduled for the 2006 batch Final year students., Out of 15 resumes 10 have selected ( above 70% without arrear )for the INFOSYS Interview .Ms. Deepa from Final year ECE ( 2006 batch ) cleared Aptitude Test and waiting for the result.

- Off Campus Interview for ““APSEE Technologies “ India ltd. , Chennai on 16th of September 2007 organized by TAGORE Engg College scheduled for the 2008 batch students from CSE .
- The Three days Workshop on SOFTSKILL Training “conducted successfully by “ Soft skill Trainers & Consulting Services( a division of Sensor Micro Electronics Ltd )“., Chennai . On 18th of September 2007 a demo on the screen of Group Discussions which has already been covered in the Video Camera . This was really useful to all the students to find out the mistakes committed by the candidates during GD . They have also conducted a MOCK Interview on that day ( 18th of September 2007 ) successfully.By : APTITUDE TEST , GROUP DISCUSSION & PERSONEL INTERVIEW
33 students are been short listed from the Aptitude test for the Group Discussion out of 140 students from Final & Third yr .
9 students have been short listed again from the Group discussion for the Final Mock Interview out of 33 students.
Finally the following 2 students have been selected after the Personel Mock Interview and won TITAN Watch & Digital Diary sponsored by Sensor Micro Electronics Ltd ., Chennai .
First Prize : Mr. JAYAKRISHNAN-3rd yr EEE won TITAN Watch .
Second Prize : MS. AAMIRA HASAN-3rd yr ECE won Digital Diary.
